What makes a Good Shepherd? :)

Jesus Of Course is the Perfect one! But how about People on earth we know?

Jesus didn’t just call himself a “shepherd” when he used the image here. He called himself the "good” shepherd." The word translated “good” here is the Greek word kalos and it means more than someone who is “competent” as in “he is a good mechanic.” The word "good" describes the character of the person, more than the skill of the person at something. It includes a moral dimension—“good” in the sense of having integrity, of having good character. He was using the word in much the same way we would refer to a “good doctor,” or a “good teacher,” or a “good pastor.”

The first thing I believe that makes the Good Shepherd “good” is found in verse 11 where Jesus says, “The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

The Good Shepherd lays down his life and sacrifices himself for us to restore our relationship with God.

This is the Perfect one :) Our Lord

Will Shepherd DEFEND his own sheep? Of course Jesus Does! :)

But will we as Sons of God do what Jesus has done?

Let me Pick a few example of a good shepherd that defend their own SHEEP

Arsene Wenger revealed that he sometimes turned a blind eye to misdemeanours committed by his team out of a sense of loyalty to his squad.

the Frenchman was asked in post-match interviews about any red-card incident involving his players he would insist that “he had not seen it”.

Now, on the eve of Arsenal's opening match of the Premier League season against Everton, Wenger (right) has come clean on the reasons why.

“At times I see it [a foul by an Arsenal player], and I said I didn't to protect the player, because I could not find any rational explanation to defend him.

“This is a job where you have to have an optimistic view of human nature or you become paranoid. You always have to think that a guy wants to do well.

“A coach is there to help. He must think that if he helps in the correct way the players will respond. You cannot be suspicious.”

Arsene Wenger is the manager of Arsenal, yes I Support Manutd :) but i really like him when he comes to defend his player on the field :) When his player didnt play well he dont judge him in front of everybody.. like the goalkeeper fabianski error on porto 1st goal.. "I don't want to comment individually on Lukasz's performance. I do not want to judge him in front of everybody," Wenger said.

Next Jose mourinho

Jose Mourinho defends Zlatan Ibrahimovic after gesture to fans -

Mourinho said: "It's a logical reaction for a player who has done so much for Inter. He is a player who at the moment is hugely dedicated to the team. There are moments of frustration for us in a game, the fans want more, we want more. But whistling one of their own players is not right."

Always i see Him as a talkative person.. Always Defending his team :)

So Will you Defend your sheep? Everyone here is a shepherd :) Everyone has their SHEEP to defend :) As a Leader or Guider, Will you Defend it properly? Or showing everyone how lousy your sheep is? :)
